Port control and coastal state work across the Red Ensign Group (REG), alongside the future opportunities for the British fleet, will be coming under the spotlight at the annual Conference being held next month in the Falkland Islands.
Regulatory issues as well as the coastal state responsibilities will be discussed across the three day conference held from 4th to 6th February. Conference begins and ends with the sounding of the bell which is due to make the trip from the last event held in Montserrat to the Falkland Islands via the UK in the next couple of weeks.
Captain Chris Locke, the Falkland Islands Marine Officer said: ‘We’re looking forward to hosting our fellow REG members here in Stanley. There’s a lot to discuss and a lot we can share with each other as we work towards upholding and maintaining standards across Red Ensign Group.’
